• Develop recipe visual concepts: Prepare plating, garnish, props, and presentation references for each recipe based on the creative brief and photo and video requirements.
• Participate in food tests and PPM preparation: Work with the Recipe Team to understand cooking methods and expected results. Style dishes and prepare benchmark photos for the Pre-Production Meeting (PPM), documenting approved visual guidelines.
• Prepare production requirements: Organize mise en place for styling and hand talent activities, including ingredients, cooking equipment, props, and backup food for additional takes.
• Perform food styling during shoots: Style food for step-by-step and final dish shots, maintaining appealing colors, textures, portions, garnishes, and clean presentation throughout production.
• Perform as hand talent: Demonstrate cooking steps according to recipe guidelines and the short list, using clear movements that audiences can follow while maintaining food safety and hygiene.
• Maintain visual continuity: Ensure consistency in food presentation and hand movements across shots, following the approved PPM benchmarks. Coordinate any necessary technical adjustments with the Recipe and Production Teams before implementation.
• Review visual quality and address feedback: Review captured footage and photos with the Production Team before dismantling the set, identify required corrections, and document feedback for future shoots.
• Manage styling equipment and props: Maintain the cleanliness, condition, and availability of styling tools and props. Recommend additional requirements based on the production plan and allocated budget.
